WOD for Dogs is shaping up to be an awesome fundraiser and a great chance to bring our community even closer. I know there is quite a buzz about it in the gym and I’m very excited for it to happen. Here is some information on what it is, where it is, when it’s happening, and how to help.
The Wod for Dogs fundraiser will support the Wallace the Pit Bull foundation nationally, and Angel City Pits locally. WOD for Dogs is a “Fight Gone Bad” style workout that mimics what dogs go through at shelters.
The Wallace the Pitbull Foundation benefits the Playing for Life program, which is a support team that travels the country and teaches local dog shelter operators how to increase adoption rates. Angel City Pits is a Los Angeles based organization dedicated to creating a better future for pit bulls by promoting their positive image as loving family companions through education, public advocacy, adoptions and responsible pet ownership.
Glendale Central Park is the location for the fundraising event. The park is located behind the Glendale Community Center and Library on 201 E. Colorado. Click here for the exact location.
The event kicks off at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 6th. We will have a heat schedule up soon. The heats will run every 25 mins.
