A friend of mine has one of those Livestrong-style bracelets that says W.I.N. on it. Aside from the obvious meaning of wanting to win, W.I.N. is an acronym for "What's Important Now." This piece of wrist bling serves as a constant reminder to focus on the most immediate goal, to learn from past mistakes while making necessary adjustments, and to be prepared for, but not fret about, the future. I like this mentality because if you think about it the only important time is now because that is all we really have control over.
