...what today's post was going to be about?
Have you ever had people doubt what you were doing here at CrossFit 818? Maybe that the workouts were too hard, or that you would injure yourself with that 'crazy' CrossFit stuff. How about that you weren't really an athlete and didn't really belong? I've said it before: get rid of the naysayers in your life and surround yourself with positive people. I'm not talking about friends who will never call you out when you're wrong, but people who are supportive in helping you reach your goals. One of my biggest pet peeves is people saying 'can't' in my gym. I can't, you can't, he can't, she can't... Well that's a load of bull crap! "I can't" really just means "I won't".
Leading up to last night's NFL Wildcard Playoff Game featuring the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the talk in the media was more of the same: Tim Tebow wasn't good enough to beat the #1 pass defense in the NFL. All the experts said that Pittsburgh would embarrass the Steelers. Even Tebow's own coach wouldn't say that he would stick with Tebow if he struggled early. Well, it just so happens that the word "can't" is not in Mr. Tebow's lexicon. He not only shredded the Pittsburgh #1 pass defense, he set the NFL postseason records for most yards per completion (over 30 yards per!) and the longest pass play in an NFL postseason overtime.
Now get fired up and let's hit today's training hard!
