Most days I enjoyed it. Some days I didn't feel like going.
It's been uncomfortably hot out lately which is a bold statement from a guy who loves heat and practically worships the sun. I think in the last week I have sweated more than I have in the last year - needless to say working out hasn't been the most enjoyable thing, especially when I would have much rather been taking a nap... in an ice bath. However, these are the days when I feel most accomplished after finishing a workout. I feel that if you have the mental toughness to grit it out on a hot, humid day then you can tackle any obstacle.
Last week we tested several 1-rep maxes and you probably noticed your coaches pushing you to hit that lift that you may not have thought was possible. Take a look at the whiteboard, it's PR city. For many of you the ugly weather didn't lead you to skip class and the rewards for your hard work and dedication were more than clear. We've got a 1-rep max deadlift on tap today. Let's pull some heavy stuff off the floor!
