I love the holidays! Fall and winter are my favorite time of the year. Getting together with friends and family, eating an excessive amount of pumpkin flavored foods, and cold rainy weather are some of my favorite things. I suppose it reminds me of home. My mom is always baking treats and Kansas is frigid during the winter months. There is one thing however, that I would rather not deal with, Daylight Saving Time.
When it’s cold and dark out when I get off work I feel like heading home to watch tv and sleep. I’d rather hibernate and eat sweets than head to the gym. It’s especially difficult to overcome that feeling for the first few weeks of the time change. Even as I write this blog, MNF and the couch are calling my name.
I did a little research today on tips and tricks to avoid succumbing to the time change and the feelings of lethargy. What’s the number one way to avoid becoming sluggish during the winter months? Diet and exercise. There are no tricks people. Get in the gym!
Also... The winners of the Halloween Costume Contest are... Steve B and Nar tied for first place and each win a coveted CF818 Hoodie. Conrad and Rizen are the runners' up and will receive CF818 t-shirts. Thanks to everyone for making halloween a great time last week.
