Happy Friday! Today's blog is written by J. Brgr. This blog is about her thoughts on body image, living a fulfilling life and fending off those pesky zombies during a potential apocalypse. Check it out!
The older I get, and the more “Walking Dead” I watch, the more apparent it becomes that we are currently, right now, this MINUTE, in the midst of a real life Zombie Apocalypse.
The amount of blood-sucking, life ruining, soul crushingly terrible human beings far outweigh the kind, respectful, classy, honest, and true-hearted folks out there.
The sad reality is we have found ourselves trapped in a virtual world where people care more about their image on Instagram than their in-person sense of self.
If we all spent as much time on health, fitness, and developing social skills as we did reading buzzfeeds or coming up with the most hilarious tweet, we wouldn’t be surrounded by so many flesh eating, self-centered, broken pieces of human being.
In a world rife with 150 character quips and filtered selfies, it is easy to lose site of what really matters. Well, here is a reality check. YOU matter. Love matters. Health matters. Friendship matters.
We all enter this world and then leave this earth in the same way. It is what we do with the time in between that matters. So get up, get fit, call your friends, hug your mom, give someone a compliment, cheer on your peers, and accomplish something today for the good of the people! Not for the “likes.”
In fact, don’t even comment or like this post. Get out in the real world and start DOING something!
Julie is ready to fend off the zombies with her kettlebell!
