It turns out the keys to happiness aren't about getting more things, but getting rid of some things instead. Check out this article for "15 Things You Should Give Up to be Happy". Luckily, this isn't just about your happiness, it can also apply to your fitness and your journey here at CF818. Here are a few of my favorites and why they apply:
Give up your self-defeating self-talk
Don't let you stop you from being the best you possible. When you talk trash to yourself, you're only holding yourself back. At the end of the day, the thing you have most control over is your self talk, so why not make it encouraging, positive, and powerful?
Give up complaining.
Seriously, stop complaining. It does nothing but put sour thoughts in your head and annoy the people around you. Even worse, complaining in a situation where you've got no way of changing anything (AKA every class here at CF818) will only frustrate you and ruin the experience. This does not apply to constructive criticism (if you see something that needs to be fixed or have a good idea for us, tell us!)
Give up your excuses.
Chris posts about this all the time. Give it up! The excuses only hold you back from doing the things that you need to do, the things you want to do, and the things that are important to you. Don't make excuses, mak priorities!
