Ever since I was a kid I have always been on the shorter and slighter side of the body spectrum. My arms and legs (still) look as though they are made of popsicle sticks. For the longest time I resigned myself to the fact that I would be the fast and agile player on my baseball team... but without any real strength. I always wanted to be a little bit stockier, a little bit stronger, but the workouts and diets that I tried never panned out.
I started going CrossFit a couple years ago and a funny thing happened: I started to fill out a little, got a bit stronger and, surprisingly, I managed to stay quick on short sprints. Strength takes time to build, anyone can do it if you commit to a plan. This is a revelation that some of you may have come to if you've been working out for awhile. If you're new to this stick with it, you'd be amazed at how quickly your body adapts and turns you into a lean, mean machine!
