CrossFit seems really complicated. There are so many things to do, so many different ways to do them, so many skills to learn and master, etc. But in truth, CrossFit is quite simple; it's about applying yourself fully to the task at hand, persevering through high effort and pain, and learning everything you can along the way both about yourself and about movement.
So how's the best way to do that? Pay attention to your coaches, be mindful in practicing your movements, and set SMART goals to help guide your efforts in a concentrated direction. Basically, pick one or two things to improve at and work hard and smart at improving those things.
Regarding Kevin Ogar, he's recovering from his second surgery at this point, a surgery that installed an "iron spine" (not 100% sure what that entails, but considering he broke his back and severed his spinal cord I can imagine this is necessary). We're still working on figuring out our course of action, but will make an announcement about what to expect in the next day or so. Thanks!
