Whether you're starting off on your fitness journey or you're a workout of the day journeyman, a few simple habits will ensure you set yourself up for success.
Log your workouts - Take a picture, write it down in an email draft to yourself, or just do it the old fashioned way with a good ol' log book. Keeping track of your workouts will allow you to track progress and look back at past PRs.
Track your nutrition - You are what you eat and nutrition happens to be the base of the pyramid on which your fitness is built. If you've never tracked your nutrition before, it can be an eye opening experience and it might just clue you into why you're not seeing results as fast as you'd like.
Sleep - Your body needs an adequate amount of quality sleep to fully recover. While one or two nights of substandard sleep may be unavoidable, you need to prioritize your sleep time and space. Keep your phone off, eliminate sources of light, get at least 7 hours, and back is best!
