A few weeks ago, I talked about how dealing with injuries is not an uncommon phenomenon amongst athletes who train regularly. A few days after that post, Michael Stanwyck, a friend and fellow CrossFit coach mentioned that he had deadlifted 370lbs. four times. While that might not seem too heavy to some of you CrossFit 818 beasts, for a man who had suffered a tremendous back injury a couple of years ago, it was the culmination of an epic comeback from an injury that for most people would have resulted in the end of their training. I watched, almost on a daily basis, as Michael did all the little things he needed to do to come back from that injury and recently he put his experience in writing here.
