March is here and with it are some announcements! Check out what's going on around the gym this month!
Friday Night Lights
We held our first Friday Night Lights of 2016 last Friday and it was a great success! Thank you to everyone who came out to participate and support! The athletes put forth a great effort on a grueling 20-minute AMRAP workout. Special thanks to Emrys and Naeiri for their photography expertise - be sure to look out for the pictures they took on social media soon!
This week's Friday Night Lights event will be held again at 5:00 PM and we are all very anxious for the workout 16.2 to be announced!
Friday Night Lights Finale
The final workout of this year's CrossFit Open will be announced on Thursday, March 24th. We've got something special in the works for the finale, so make sure to keep an eye out for the announcement!
CrossFit 818 Takes On Tough Mudder
Tough Mudder is coming up on Saturday, April 16th and CrossFit 818 already has 18 people on a team! These events are a lot of fun because they give you the chance to check out how your strength and fitness applies to challenges outside of the gym. Over the 10ish mile course there are plenty of hills to hike and about two dozen obstacles for teams to negotiate. I've done two and they are a blast! Here's how you can join in on this epic adventure:
1. Click the Eventbrite link (here) and buy your ticket, choose 10:00 AM as your desired start time.
2. Once you've purchased your ticket, it's time to join the CrossFit 818 Team! Log in to your Eventbrite account and click "Transfer," then click "Change Team," followed by "Join A Team." Type in "CrossFit 818" and click continue.
3. Get ready to have some fun!
St. Patrick's Day
