So you wanna really earn your Labor Day huh?
Join us on September 3rd, between 9AM and 11:30AM to complete the Trevor Win’e Challenge (detailed
below). There will be no regular classes at CF818 on Labor Day. Instead, you’ll be able to sign up in teams of
4 to do the following workout:
In teams of 4, complete the following –
300 pull ups
400 push ups
500 sit ups
**only 2 people can work at a time
**you must complete all the reps for each respective movement before moving on to the next movement
This event is FREE and doesn’t count as a class. Just like everything else we do here at CF818, this workout
can be scaled for all levels, so we highly encourage everyone to join in on the fun!
We also encourage you to give your team a theme and dress up in costume! Some of my favorite past teams
have been Team Business Time (we all wore suits), Team America (red, white, and blue short shorts and long
socks), and The Power Rangers (pretty self explanatory). Get creative and have fun with it...it’s not often you
get to WOD in a costume!
Sign up in the hallway across from the shower. If you don’t have a team or don’t want to organize a team,
sign up on the TEAMLESS sign in sheet and we’ll group those people up ourselves.
Heat 1 STARTS at 9:15AM and Heat 2 STARTS at 10:15AM. The gym will be open at 9AM so come in early,
spectate, and warm up!
Also, this Saturday (August 11th), your friends and fellow 818ers Geoff "Commish" Yazetta, "Magic Mike" Azana, and I will all be competing at the Next Level Invitational down at Aliso Niguel High School. It's a classic CrossFit competition including three workouts for each competitor during the day, food trucks, and vendors selling the latest and greatest CrossFit gear. First heats kick off around 8AM and the whole thing should be wrapped up around 6PM.
Come by to show your support for your fellow 818ers and to have a good time meeting other CrossFitters and enjoying the sights and sounds of a great local CrossFit competition!
