There are a lot of really cool things happening at CrossFit 818 these days, so I wanted to update all of you sweet peeps.
The Paleo Challenge is coming to an end.
What does this mean for you? Well, if you were one of the people who jumped into the Paleo Challenge, then you've gotta take your after picture by the end of this week. You have Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to get your picture taken. Come to the gym a little early and tell one of the coaches that you wanna take your picture and we'll make it happen before class. You must have you picture taken by Sunday at noon. Sunday 11/13, is the last day to have your picture taken, and you must have your picture taken by noon.
There will be three winners. After all the pictures are taken, the coaches will choose the top 5 and make the pictures available to you so you can vote for 2 of the winners. The third winner is going to get the Spirit of the Challenge award, and will be picked by the coaches.
Here's the fun part: on the afternoon of Sunday, November 20th we're going to have a gym-wide Kinda Paleo Kinda Thanksgiving Pot Luck at the gym. Everyone is invited to come by to the gym around 12:15pm for and with some delicious finger foods, some adult beverages, and great company. Early in the afternoon (think 1:30pm or so), the winners will be announced and the prizes wil be handed out. And after all the food is gone, we can relocate and keep the party going!
CrossFit 818 Fun Times Outing
CrossFit is all about functional fitness and what better chance to apply your sweet, newfound fitness than to come out with your peers and take on a ropes course! We're looking to make an outing to a ropes course out in Culver City. This would be a lot of fun, a great chance to try some new stuff, and a really fun experience as well. We're thinking it should be a Saturday or Sunday, and eyeing the weekend after Thanksgiving (December 3rd or 4th). If you're interested in attending this, let one of the coaches know.
If you have any questions about these cool happenings, ask us for more deets :)
