Over the last couple weeks, I have racked up quite a sleep deficit. My day job kept me pretty busy and often required work to be taken home and done after hours. Each subsequent day left me a little more tired, which prompted me to bump up my normal espresso intake from two shots to four... You can probably see where this is going, the body isn't made to run on jet fuel alone. I needed to catch up on some z's. Remember, the body and mind need sleep to recover from the stresses of each day. Generally, 6-8 hours is sufficient but if you find yourself dragging throughout the day, it may be time to turn in a little bit earlier and charge up for tomorrow!
