Fran is one of the most well known and notorious workouts in CrossFit. We do it every so often in the gym as a means to test if our programming has indeed made you "fitter." This workout has been known to knock a few of you on your butts and possibly scarred some of you from ever wanting to see "Fran" written on the board again. But I can assure you, that going into Fran with the mentality of "I hate thrusters" or "I hate Fran" or "I hate _____", is only going to make it suck that much more. I'm a big believer in your attitude dictating the outcome of your workout (and even your life circumstances outside the gym). The more negative your thinking becomes leading up to today's workout, the more negative your experience will be. While I get that Fran hurts (I've done it enough times to know the pain), the quicker you get it done, the quicker it's over. So try to think a bit more on the positive side before heading into today's workout, or at least get to neutral territory with your mindset before "3, 2, 1, GO!" And be thankful it's not "Heavy Fran!"
