Most people's relationship with their gym starts and ends at the front door (and in some cases not even there!) Here at CrossFit 818 in Glendale, we pride ourselves with not only providing our members the space and equipment to complete their CrossFit workouts, but also the coaching to ensure they have the tools to continue on the path to fitness when they leave the gym. Doing your "homework" by addressing your mobility and nutrition is great when you're going to be coming in the next day, but what happens when you leave town? Does a business trip or vacation mean a hiatus from your fitness, as well?
Just because you go on vacation or travel for business, doesn't mean you have a good excuse to stop working out for that time! Most hotels have small "gyms" with at least dumbbells, and if you pack a jump rope with you, you'll have everything you need to get some great workouts in on the go. If you're ever traveling and need some workouts, let us know! We'll be happy to provide you with several workouts that will challenge you and ensure that you keep your fitness on the right track.
Have a safe and happy Memorial Day Weekend, and remember that we will not have regularly scheduled classes on Monday, May 30th. Instead, we will be honoring our military heroes, past and present, with Memorial Day "Murph" at 8:30am.
