Happy Monday, 818ers! February is upon us, here is what you should know:

The 2016 CrossFit Open Registration & Friday Night Lights
Remember those five awesome "Friday Night Lights" events that we held at CF 818 last year - the ones with the workout pit, loud music and epic encouragement? It was pretty incredible and we'll be doing it all again this month! If you're new to our community, the CrossFit Open is a series of workouts that marks as the beginning of the CrossFit Games season. Your performance will be scored and you can see how your performance stacks up against your fellow members at CF 818, as well as people from the Southern California region and around the globe. It's some pretty cool stuff!

CrossFit 818 will be holding Friday Night Lights events from 5 PM to 7 PM on the following dates: February 26, March 4, March 11, March 18 and March 25.

CrossFit 818 Takes On Tough Mudder
Tough Mudder is coming up on Saturday, April 16th and CrossFit 818 already has 18 people on a team! These events are a lot of fun because they give you the chance to check out how your strength and fitness applies to challenges outside of the gym. Over the 10ish mile course there are plenty of hills to hike and about two dozen obstacles for teams to negotiate. I've done two and they are a blast! Here's how you can join in on this epic adventure:

1. Click the Eventbrite link (here) and buy your ticket, choose 10:00 AM as your desired start time.

(Pro Tip: Tough Mudder extended their discount registration period - so if you want to participate sign up before Tuesday, 2/2!)
(Pro Pro Tip: use the MADEFORTHIS coupon code and save $20!)

2. Once you've purchased your ticket, it's time to join the CrossFit 818 Team! Log in to your Eventbrite account and click "Transfer," then click "Change Team," followed by "Join A Team." Type in "CrossFit 818" and click continue.

3. Get ready to have some fun!

Goal Board
The goal board has quite a lot of names on it, and some of you have already achieved what you set out to do! If you haven't done so already, find something that you want to do and write it up there in big letters. Ask your coaches for homework to help you reach your goal!

Schedule Change
Starting this month, the 9:30 AM class will be canceled. However, we will be holding a limited number of these classes on Mondays that are recognized as holidays. Keep your eye out for announcements - if there are any questions, please don't hesitate to email Geoff at geoff@crossfit818.com.
