If you don't get the reference from the title, it is well past time you queue up the entire "Rocky" series on Netflix! For those of you who have seen a Rocky movie, you know that the "Eye of the Tiger" references a state of mind, a determination to approach every training session with a specific goal in mind and giving your 100% effort. Everyone has a different way of getting into that state of mind, so I'm curious: how do you get your "Eye of the Tiger"? What do you do before a workout to prepare to deal with the uncomfortable?
Reminder: CrossFit 818 will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. We will also be closed on Saturday, July 7th to support Coach Armen and Tyler at the Occupy Strength competition at CrossFit Balboa.
*Tabata Intervals (20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest repeated 8 times) is applied in turn to each movement with a one minute rotation break between exercises. Each exercise is scored by the weakest number of reps in each of the eight intervals. During the one minute rotation time allowed the clock is not stopped but kept running. The score is the total of the scores from the five stations.
