Armen made it safely to Austin yesterday and is beginning the process of settling in and preparing for his new job out there!
I typed out a really long, tearful blog post about my brother, but I realized that it doesn't do what he has meant to me and CrossFit 818 justice. All of you who know us, know how close we are and something paltry like a couple thousand kilometers won't ever change that. Armen and I will continue to communicate on a regular basis and his input from afar will continue to inform our programming and vision.
Back here in Glendale, CrossFit 818 life continues onward and I wanted to take a few moments to let everyone know that we'll be continuing to provide the same awesome service and coaching you have come to expect! Joining our team will be Katie Schwing and Edgar Abramyan, both of whom you have seen around the gym and both of whom are quite experienced in both training and coaching CrossFit. Keep an eye out for blog bios from these two coming soon. Edgar and Katie will be primarily coaching in the mornings for now and the coaching schedule will continue to evolve over the next few weeks.
We also have several fun events planned for the summer in and outside of the gym! Details are forthcoming soon, so keep your eye out on the blog and your emails.
As always, I am always personally available to answer any questions any of may have, so don't hesitate to reach out to me at Zareh@CrossFit818.com.
