Somewhere along the path that your life is on you grew up. Maybe it was when you went away to college, got your first real job or put a down payment on a house. Something clicked. Something made you realize that the hedonistic pursuit of fun and pleasure has to take a backseat until your responsibilities are taken care of. In short you have to prioritize some things over others and that can be difficult. Getting to the gym regularly is something that takes a less significant role when other more important things are happening. I totally get it. I was in school once and cramming for finals is a very real and very immediate problem. Nowadays I have work events from my day job that may keep me from coaching classes at night. It's important to remember that the goal of better health is a lifetime in length. Taking time off is one thing. Taking time off and never getting back on track is another. Make the effort to stay on track even if life takes an unexpected turn. You'll be glad you did!
