Happy Hump Day! Just a few quick reminders on decorum during class time.
Lend your coach your ears- We get it, you're in class with friends or maybe somebody you haven't seen in a while and you want to chat with them. But when your coaches are speaking, mainly during any demo and teaching portions of class, please refrain from talking. We try to make what we're saying as concise as possible so that we can get you guys going, but it ultimately ends up taking us longer to explain what's going on in the workout if we're having to talk over a bunch of voices. This also may help clear up any questions you have concerning the workout, so listen up.
Show up early to class? Great!- But, the previous class may still be in progress, so please be courteous and respectful. Be aware of your surroundings and pay attention as you make your way in to the gym. Try to avoid walking in front of people lifting, behind people jumping rope, and try not to block somebody from reaching their equipment or anything that may disrupt their workout. If it looks like there's a lot going on in class, it might be best to head around the back and enter through the alley. Also, if the previous class is still in progress and the coach is teaching, please keep your conversations low so as not to distract those in class from hearing what is being taught.
Pick up your toys!- We say it all the time, but it's requires reminding from time to time. Please put away your equipment before you jet out the door. Nobody likes working out in a messy gym, so if you pull equipment out, put it back where you found it. It's that simple, folks.
Sanitize!- Sharing is caring, except when it comes to blood, sweat, tears, or any other bodily fluid. We get sweaty in our workouts, we rip when we have high volume bar work, and maybe sometimes we cry out of frustration, pain, or it's just an emotional day. Please help us keep our gym as germ free as possible and use the sanitizing wipes we have under the clock to clean up after any messes that may have been made during the course of your workout.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
