If you've been doing CrossFit long enough you'll wake up with some kind of ache or pain every now and then. This is normal, in my opinion, and only serves to highlight the fact that an active lifestyle is accompanied by bumps and bruises. That being said, it's important to know when your mind is saying "I'm tired, let's do something else," versus some joint or muscle group saying "Stop!" The former is your mind wanting to quit, in which case you should keep on trucking, the latter is when you should slow down or stop because continuing could lead to injury. My take on training is this: be smart, listen to what your body is telling you. It's better to give your shoulder, knee, or whatever it is a rest if that's what it needs. If you're not sure about what to do grab one of your coaches, chances are we have experienced something similar and we can always modify the workout!
