We have been back to our regularly scheduled program for the past month here at CF818. There are certainly some skills and movements we are focusing on building, but I’m sure some of you have noticed the change in the trend of the daily workouts. There was a pretty large block of strength programming that was implemented earlier this summer. The focus was to increase absolute strength by using the major lifts such as: squats, deadlifts, press, and variations of the olympic lifts. As we discussed in earlier posts, strength is harder to build than conditioning, and stays with you for much longer.
I’m curious to know if the workouts feel any different. Are you doing the prescribed weight, or closer to them, more often? Do weights you typically selected for workouts feeling especially light? Did getting strong make your daily chores any easier? Sound off in the comments.
A great succes!
