As your coach, friend, and a business owner, I find myself having to sometimes balance disparate interests for the sake of meeting the responsibilities each of those titles carry to my utmost ability. On Wednesday, CrossFit 818 parted ways with Edgar. While I do not as a matter of course and will not in this case speak about the particulars of the situation, suffice it to say that I had a difficult decision to make and I made it decisively in the best interests of the gym and you, the members. Nothing about the decision was arbitrary, but it was necessary and therefore I made it. I recognize Edgar's contribution to the several classes he coached and am disappointed that he's no longer here, however CrossFit 818 continues to strive to provide you with the best coaching, programming, and community environment possible.
As always, I understand there may be questions and/or comments about this particular situation, and as it has always been in the past and will always be in the future, my proverbial office door remains open and I welcome your feedback and questions. CrossFit 818 values each of your contributions to our community, your business, and your unique, individual fitness needs as we continue to sharpen our own (coaching) swords and provide you with the best fitness community in the area. Thank you!
