Too often we get caught up using "now" and "next week" as timelines for our accomplishments. Sure we live in a world of immediate and exact gratification, but not only do certain things not function on that timeline, I'd make the argument that the best things will never function on that timeline.
Health and fitness are long, slow, productive, and rewarding processes. If you do it right, this journey will last you your entire life. With a timeline like that, why get caught up in one workout or one lift or one week?
With a timeline like that, even a small step in the right direction is still a step in the right direction. Every tiny step you take to improve what you've got going on will add up and you'll achieve more than you thought possible.
