Katrin Davidsdottir was crowned the fittest woman on Earth on Sunday. This was her 3rd trip to the Games after she missed qualifying last year during Regionals. Katrin has been training with 2-time Games winner, Annie Thorisdottir, and it's seems to have paid off. She only won 1 event out of 13 at the Games but, her consistency throughout the rest of the events is what got her to that top spot. She didn't need to dominate every event, but she placed very well in the events that were in her wheelhouse, and then made sure she placed somewhere in the middle for the ones that weren't. On the final event, Katrin saw the opportunity to take over the lead from rookie, Sara Sigmundsdottir, and won that event which earned her the title of "Fittest on Earth." If you have a few minutes to spare and are aching to see that last event go down, head over to games.crossfit.com to watch the replay.
