Attention 818ers! The CrossFit Open is finally here! Below is a rehash of Armen's post from the other day with all the details. Also, if you're still on the fence about signing up you have until Monday to head on over to this link and join the CF 818 team!
Friday Night Lights schedule of events (UPDATED)
4:50PM - Heat sign ups open (you'll get to pick RX or Scaled when you sign up)
5:05PM - Event overview, judging standards
5:20PM - Heat 1
5:40PM - Heat 2
6:00PM - Heat 3
6:20PM - Heat 4
6:40PM - Heat 5
(7:00PM - possible Heat 6, depending on how many people show up)
7:00/7:15PM - Wrap up and recovery!
You should expect to come at 5PM to pick a heat and stick around after your heat to help judge and cheer on your fellow 818ers. The gym will be open and ready from around 4:45PM so if you wanna come in early and start getting warm or situated, that's totally cool with us!
Tonight's Friday Night Lights is sponsored by Stronger Faster Healthier! Each of these events is going to be AWESOME, and you're encouraged to bring your friends and family to watch and hang out during the event.
If you're on the fence about signing up for the Open, come to Friday Night Lights anyway! Registration for the Open closes on Monday 3/2 at 5PM so if you wanna try it out and see what it's all about come to FNL and see how awesome this is gonna be before totally ruling it out.
And lastly, if you can't make it on Friday night you can complete the Open workout in Sundays at the gym during regular class! Please let me know if you have any questions.

A. 3 rounds for quality:
15 Deficit KB RDL
40 seconds KB armbar each side
B. 4 rounds for time:
toes to bar
rest 1:1 after each full round
Friday Night Lights:
10 deadlifts (115/75)
1-rep-max clean and jerk
*6-minute time cap
